Non-insulin-dependent diabetes

Now called type 2 diabetes. A disease in which levels of blood sugar (glucose) are too high initially because cells can’t properly use insulin (a hormone that helps cells absorb glucose from the bloodstream). Over time the production of insulin may decline.
